Easter for me is a time for reflection, gratitude and hope
6 years ago on a camping weekend away with friends.
After almost giving up on having our own kids and procrastinating for 2 years on whether to go forward with the donor egg pathway, we decided to do it. That was April 2016.
By September 2016 we were in Cape Town about to undergo donor egg IVF.
We were overcome with gratitude for our beautiful anonymous egg donor and still wonder if we will ever be able to thank her in person.
Back in Sydney that November I had the incredible news that I was pregnant.
Whilst my beautiful 4-year-old boy sleeps in bed, I take this time to reflect on all that has been and how this experience has shaped my life so much since.
Being granted the gift of motherhood and having the honour to guide and care for my son still brings me to pinch myself.
I am starting this page to share my story
with the hope to help others on a similar pathway.
Since the birth of my son, I've never felt so much gratitude and never been so certain of my pathway ahead.
I just want to be of service to others going through something similar.
So please don't hesitate to get in touch.
This page will be a place to discuss all things to do with going down a donor egg pathway.
If you have been on a long and difficult fertility journey and are at the crossroads deciding whether to go forward with using a donor egg, I truly hope I can be of assistance.
Please reach out if you need help.
Wishing you a wonderful Easter break.
